Derbyshire Constabulary appoints NDI-RS for the East Midlands fixed site ANPR framework agreement
12 August 2009
Following a successful tendering process, Derbyshire Constabulary has appointed NDI Recognition Systems Ltd (NDI-RS) to be a supplier for the exclusive 4 year fixed site ANPR system framework agreement.
The Derbyshire Constabulary framework will be utilised by all of the East Midlands Police Forces namely Leicestershire Constabulary, Lincolnshire Police, Nottinghamshire Police, Northamptonshire Police and all local authorities of Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Rutland. As part of the tendering process NDI-RS performed field tests during daylight and night time conditions and captured over 96.5% of number plates accurately, well exceeding the NAAS compliancy requirements.
As part of the tender evaluation NDI-RS utilised the new ‘Scorpion’ pole mounted processor, NDI-RS Talon V8 ANPR software, web services connectivity and the Cobra Image Capture System. When combined together this enabled us to achieve outstanding recognition results and overall performance.
Derbyshire Constabulary A.N.P.R. procurement lead Matthew Rudder said “ The NDI-RS tender response was excellent and their roadside performance well exceeded the NAAS expectations”.
NDI-RS is proud to be one of the leading suppliers to the UK Police forces providing high quality and cost effective ANPR solutions.
